The solidDB Storage Engine for MySQL offers two different types of concurrency control mechanisms that are known as "pessimistic" and "optimistic." Both offer multiversion concurrency control. In this talk we will explain both methods and the basics of this concurrency control method. solidDB Storage Engine for MySQL also offers two different types of durability level and we'll address the advantages, disadvantages, and differences between these levels.
