| Robert Pepper
Pepper leads a team driving Ciscos global agenda for advanced technology policy in areas such as IP enabled services, broadband, wireless and security. He joined Cisco in July 2005 from the Federal Communications Commission where he served as an advisor to the last six Chairmen of the FCC on policy development focusing especially on issues cutting across traditional industry and institutional boundaries as a result of new technologies and convergence. Prior to the FCC, Pepper was Director of the Annenberg Washington Program in Communications Policy. He also was Acting Associate Administrator at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), worked at the National Science Foundation, and had academic appointments at the Universities of Iowa, Indiana, and Pennsylvania, and was a research affiliate at Harvard University. He serves on advisory boards for Columbia University and Michigan State University and is a Communications Program Fellow at the Aspen Instutute and a non-resident Fellow at the Annenberg Center at the Unviersity of Southern California. |
