Shah
Alex Shah first began using scripting for handling electronic transactions when he worked as a key developer for Pyxis Corporation in 1990. While at Pyxis, Alex designed and implemented a proprietary
scripting language in an effort to generalize the transmission of
patient billing records to a variety of hospital mainframe systems.
Later, he incorporated Tcl scripting technology into an image processing
application for viewing and processing of electron micrographs for UCLA
Medical Center.
After leaving UCLA, he began work on Warner Bros. Feature Animation
asset management system. Web technology and scripting languages such as
Tcl/Tk and Perl were used to meet production needs for 'Space Jam' and
Warner Bros. first fully animated film, 'The Quest'.
In February of 1997, he began work on VelociGen - a tool for building
high performance web sites based on proven scripting languages. In
December of 1997, after teaming up with UCSD schoolmate Parand Darugar,
Binary Evolution incorporated and launched their flagship product:
VelociGen. The company is committed to providing high performing,
cross-platform, rapid application development tools based on
non-proprietary, proven scripting technology.
